Automatic oil surface tension tester apply to standard test ASTM D971 ,it can test kinds of liquid surface tension and boundary surface tension.Based on ring method (platinum ring method), the surface tension (liquid gas interface) and interfacial tension (liquid liquid interface) of various liquids are measured. This method has the advantages of simple operation and high accuracy and is widely used. It is widely used in power, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, teaching and other industries.

Function

Main technical features
The instrument adopts large LCD screen and blank button, so it is automatic, reliable, and simple and with good repeatability. Turn on the instrument and operate the instrument as per the prompt of menu, and you can complete the test as per the prompt.
The instrument has function of automatic temperature compensation, clock control, printing, and automatic average value calculation. It can connect to a computer through RS232 interface. working principle
When the platinum ring is pulled up from the "liquid-gas" interface or the "liquid-liquid" interface, a circular liquid column film will form under the platinum ring. As the ring continues to rise, the liquid column film ruptures. The maximum force value detected by the electromagnetic force balance sensor in the medium can be converted into a tension value by the following formula.

The amount of force measured by this method is affected by the following factors:
1. The average radius of platinum wire ring and the radius of platinum wire.
2. The density difference of "liquid-gas" or "liquid-liquid".
3. The purity of the liquid and electrolyte impurities will seriously reduce the tension value.
4. The temperature of the environment.
