Introduction of 2025 Version HOPU HJS-300 Series Dissipation Factor (Tan Delta): 

  1. When an alternating voltage is applied to an insulating medium the capacitive current will lead the voltage by 90°. When impurities, such as moisture, contaminants, or oxidation by-products, are present within the insulating medium creating dielectric losses a resistive current is introduced, which causes the current to deviate from the ideal 90° phase shift from the applied voltage.

 2. The two main reference standards of Automatic Transformer Oil Tan Delta Test Set:

ASTM D924 - Standard Test Method for Dissipation Factor (or Power Factor) and Relative Permittivity (Dielectric Constant) of Electrical Insulating Liquids

IEC 60247 - Insulating liquids – Measurement of relative permittivity, dielectric dissipation factor (tan) and d.c. resistivity 


3. The under test oil is stressed by an AC voltage to determine the desperation factor / loss angle measurement using three terminal oil sell.

4. Automatic Transformer Oil Tan Delta Test Set is integrated by oil cup for dielectric loss, temperature-control equipment, temperature sensor, test-bridge for dielectric loss, AC trial electrical source, standard capacitor, high resistance meter and DC high-voltage power etc. 


5. The most advanced heating mode of high frequency induction is applied to the heating part of this instrument, which has the advantage of non-contact of oil cup and heating unit, homogeneous heating, quick velocity and convenient control etc.


6. AC-DC-AC conversion mode is applied to AC trial electrical source so that the problem how to measure correctly under the fluctuation of voltage and frequency can be avoided. Even when the electric generator is working, the instrument can operate correctly.

7. The inner standard capacitor is SF6 three-pole inflate capacitor, whose dielectric loss and capacitance is not influenced by environmental temperature and dampness etc. In this way, the accuracy of the instrument is guaranteed conformably after a long-time application.
